Erica Neal was born & raised in west Texas to a single mom of 3 daughters. There are plenty of fun and happy memories for Erica to recall throughout childhood, but there was no shortage of stressing over money, late nights of mom at the kitchen table attempting to juggle bills, and extracurricular activities for her kids. As history tends to repeat itself, Erica also became a single mom at the age of 18. She worked full time and was a full-time student while raising her baby girl but money was even tighter than ever.

Erica achieved her bachelor’s degree in Finance & Economics, then moved to Ft Worth for a position as a financial advisor with a large investment firm. Throughout her career, Erica continually saw massive gaps in the financial foundations of her individual and family clients and a lacking in what the traditional advisory world offered for basic personal finance education. This caused frustration and lack of results for clients as well as limited options within financial firms to correct their issues.

Erica’s experiences on the front lines of family financial health meant she began to see, learn and educate her clients on a basic financial foundation more and more. It was an incredible transformation as these individuals began to not just understand, but think critically about their finances and available options.

Being able to provide such an integral piece to the overall success of the vast majority of those without financial education became Erica’s passion. She saw her mom in every person she met who wanted to improve their financial lives so badly but could not even see the path to start the journey.

With some ideas on creating content to educate the masses and meeting her business partner Karen, the Financial Literacy for Her company was born. Karen and Erica share a passion for providing financial education and have formulated a plan to create a streamlined process for clients to become financially literate and achieve independence.
